For out-of-network PPO plans, we work with all of our families to make it as easy as possible to understand your coverage and process all claims. Our team strives to provide a transparent estimate before procedures to help you understand your out-of-pocket expenses. Being out of network doesn't always mean higher costs—your insurance pre-estimate may show that your child's treatment is covered in full.

Out-of-network dental benefits mean that your child can still receive care from a dentist who is not contracted with your insurance company. Many dental plans, especially PPO plans, allow families to visit the provider of their choice while the insurance company still pays a portion of the cost for covered dental services. When a dentist is out-of-network, the insurance company may reimburse at a different rate than they would for an in-network provider, which can affect your out-of-pocket cost. At Big Little Teeth Pediatric Dentistry, our team is happy to help review your child’s dental insurance benefits, provide estimates when possible, and submit claims to your insurance company to help maximize your available benefits.

We welcome all patients with Delta Dental PPO plans as an out-of-network provider. Our team will gladly submit insurance pre-authorizations and claims on your behalf to help you use any available benefits. Because coverage and reimbursement amounts are determined by your insurance provider, we cannot know the exact out-of-pocket cost until the claim has been processed by your insurance company. However, we are happy to review your child’s plan and provide an estimate of your expected portion before treatment whenever possible.
